First World Problems for Makeup Wearers

As Rumpelstiltskin once said, “Magic always comes with a price.” The same goes for makeup, but not just the price you pay for purchase. Makeup wearers everywhere are burdened daily with many first world problems. I’ve compiled a list so we can come together and support one another. Let us unite.

Getting lipstick on your straws, glasses, mugs, cutlery when eating or drinking

Trying out a new black eyeliner or mascara that ends up smudging like cray cray (and you don’t realise till the end of the day #pandalife).

People will always ask you if you’re sick when you have a no makeup day.

Applying makeup inside/indoors and catching a glance of your reflection outside to see a clown face staring back at you.

The struggle of removing waterproof mascara at the end of the day.

Never being able to draw even eyeliner wings

Getting foundation on people’s clothes when you hug them (to tell, or not to tell?)

Getting lipstick on your teeth

A tea drinker’s nightmare is moisturising lipstick; it transfers like my money does out of my bank account (aka. more lipstick on mug than lips).

Having too many mascaras open at once

The struggle of brush washing day (and forgetting to do your makeup before washing all of your makeup brushes)

Having to choose which (slightly different) shade of red lipstick to wear out of your unneccessarily large collection.

When bits of your hair gets stuck in your lipgloss

Let me know in the comments below any of your first world makeup problems 🙂

All of the above! Smudged eyeliner from the upper lashline to the lower at the end of the day no matter how smudgeproof the eyeliner is supposed to be. It’s a bugbear of mine.

Oh I feel that! Happens to me too, which means my dark circles look even worse. Ahh, oily eye lid problems 😛

Hahaha, blotting paper is amazing, at least you don’t have to worry about it now you work at home 😛

Yes to all!! And also, going to buy a lipstick/nail polish/blush etc and wondering if you’ve got that shade at home…. maybe not. Get home… yep, got that one already….

Ahh, I’ve done that too. Such a bummer. At least you know you really like that colour if you buy it twice 😛

LOL!!! This post cracked me up because I think all of the above scenarios apply to me!
