NEEK Skin Organics is an Australian natural, vegan skincare company. NEEK uses cruelty free testing and is available for purchase online via. their website, or through a few spas and pharmacies throughout Australia (relatively difficult to find in store). The packaging the of the NEEK skincare set* (RRP $125) I received was stunning, and would definitely make a great gift.
First Impressions
Cleanser smells amazing. Lemony but not overpowering or chemically. The cleanser doesn’t lather or foam up easily. Seems like a cross between a soap and an oil. Gentle on the skin. Washed off with water using the cotton cloth provided in the kit. The white cloth showed how much dirt was actually on my face! Much more thorough than just using my hands with water to wash my face.
Eye serum packaging isn’t 100% secure. A little, tiny bit has leaked out and is around the edge of the outside of the lid. The bottle it comes in is only 2/3 full, but I think that’s how it is meant to be. Serum is a bit oily, and doesn’t sink into the skin very well (at all). It also smell so, so bad.
The moisturiser soaks into the surprisingly well and quickly. I was initially afraid since the products didn’t specify skin type, that my face might end up like a grease ball. I was pleasantly mistaken. The moisturiser smells like bush lemon, but fades once applied. Feels like a good base for makeup, not too greasy.
Review a few months after the 2.5 weeks of exclusively trailing the NEEK skincare
Love the pump packaging of the line. Super easy to use. The glass of the jars also adds an expensive feel to the brand.
Miss divine Active Face Cleanser 100ml
- Doesn’t sting my eyes at all, perfect for using to remove any leftover makeup! It is also oil based, which helps
- Gentle
- Reliable
- I use this product regularly, especially when I’ve worn makeup that day
Wide lovely eyes Eye Serum 20ml
- Not worth it
- Smells so darn bad, even months later! (I’m writing this review several months after the initial trial). It smells fishy or like off eggs.
These days Active Daily Moisturiser 50ml
- Very nice product
- Good for oily skin since it sinks into the skin quickly
- Nothing special
Summary
NEEK Skincare isn’t bad, but it isn’t amazing either. Definitely better than using no skincare, but nothing special, particularly considering the price. Nothing miraculous by any means happened to my skin. I would think this is more a line of products for people who specifically want organic, vegan skincare. If that’s not you, I don’t think this line is worth the money.

I’ve never heard of this brand before but I don’t go out of my way to find new organic and vegan brands.

Aww nooooo it sucks when skincare start to smell bad 🙁 It happened with my glyco peel, little black things came out so I decided to throw it out (aka empty the product and chuck it in my products to be binned)

Smells make such a big difference 🙁
Shame about the eye serum hon – I’m a scentophile, and if I don’t LOVE the smell, I ditch it, so thanks for the heads up. Currently loving Dragons Blood Sculpting Cream for daytime, and (amazingly) Garnier Miracle Sleeping Cream at night – this last one smells ever so good and it’s light yet completely nourishing xxx

My skin LOVES the Garner Miracle Sleeping Cream too!! I was so impressed, since skincare products don’t usually impress me. I’ll have the try the Dragons Blood Sculpting Cream, thanks for the recommendation!
I haven’t heard of Neek. Not sure I’ll go out of my way to look for it either. I guess it’s nice that it’s vegan etc.
Thanks for joining the Lovin’ Life Linky this week! Great to “meet” you 🙂

Great honest review! I haven’t heard of the brand at all. Wonder why the eye serum smells so bad? The cleanser sounds nice.

Thanks! So strange right? It smelt bad from the get go. Maybe I got a bad batch?
That sucks about the serum! I’m glad that you liked the cleanser though, although that is a massive price for something that (from your review) appears to be average.

The price is a bit over the top hey
I haven’t heard of this brand before – thanks for your review. It’s a shame about the eye serum 🙁

I love natural and organic skincare so this brand is right up my alley. Also love that the products are Australian made. I’ll have to check out their full product range.
