The Parcel Winter 2016 Marie Claire | UNBOXING

Guys, I finally opened my Marie Claire The Parcel Winter 2016! It’s legit been sitting in my lounge room for way too long. The old me would have ripped it open as soon as it landed on my doorstep, but beauty blogger me chose to hold off incase I decided to film an unboxing (which I didn’t… LOL). Anyway, here we are, a little late, but enjoy my first impressions of The Parcel Winter 2016.

First of all, the box. It’s a box; it holds things in it, 10/10 would recycle.

Moving on to my first impression of opening the box. Toothpaste, what the? I didn’t pay for a dang toothpaste sample. Followed by, Oooo Garnier cream, YAS, I’ll take that, yes please.

So super duper keen on the Garnier Miracle Wake Up Cream ($19.99) since I’m a huge fan of the sleeping cream. ‘Meh’ to the Nivea Sensitive Caring Micellar water ($9.97) because everyone and their mum has been releasing them lately. Will need to be super special to impress me. And yas, yas, yaaassss, to the little The Body Shop Drops of Youth Concentrate ($9.80) sample. Anything from the Body Shop makes my heart do a little leap, especially since they are a bit expensive, gurlfran. I’m not really looking specifically for ‘youth enhancing’ type products, but love me a serum so looking forward to trying it. Decent enough sized sample so I will let you know what I think of it.

I do enjoy John Frieda, so quite happy for this full size John Frieda Frizz Ease Forever Smooth Anti-Frizz Primer ($16.99). Primer for your hair? Weird, but unique I guess? This is a leave in treatment with coconut oil (pretty sure coconut oil is made of Hercules’ sweat according to hype on internet right now). Being honest, I probably won’t use this primer much since I’m so darn lazy with my hair. Also a total Klorane fan, so very keen on this Klorane Shampoo with Quinine and B Vitamins ($1.30) even though it is just a sample.

Teeth and Body Care

So, Colgate Optic White High Impact White ($2.50)… Ok, toothpaste, cool, um, okay. Next, MOR Rosa Noir Hand & Body Milk ($5?), gah, not another hand cream, though I haven’t tried anything from MOR yet, so I guess that’ good. Big sad face about the Rituals Cosmetics Fortune Oil ($1.80) since I already got it in my Women’s Health The Parcel! Let’s hope it’s good, because then I’ll be cheerin’.

Notice the inverted commas in the heading. So disappointed with the lack of makeup in this box. As a blogger, I have so much skincare in my life, that I much prefer receiving makeup. The “makeup” in this box was a BB cream sample in the total wrong shade (Y U NO READ MY SURVEY ANSWERS?) and the Burt’s Bees Tinted Lipbalm ($12.95).

Would I repurchase box?

I signed up to this box, after seeing the Zoeva brush and other goodies in these boxes, will not be ordering again anytime soon. Safe to say I am disappointed! Although the value for money is still there thankfully.

What are your thoughts on this quarters box? Would love to know, drop me comment please!

I haven’t ordered The Parcel for a few seasons now. I think after the first couple of really great boxes, it’s been hard to keep up to that standard. Still some pretty nice things like the Garnier cream and TBS serum!

That is true, I’m looking forward to the serum!

Yeah nah . . . I am not about bulk skincare although a few of those products look decent – toothpaste seems to show up in every kind of gift bag and beauty box BORING I CAN BUY TOOTHPASTE IN THE GROCERY BUDGET and getting wrong shades is Not. On. As if it was a sachet sample of BB cream too, like it’s expensive or something??

Owh Wow! Toothpaste? Why do subscription boxes came up with peculiar goodies? The body shop seems to be the most interesting one of all. But I guess with subscription box, its a hit and miss, don’t you think so, Mel? I would be disappointed too…

Looks like you got some great stuff in this box! Love the Burt’s Bees and Ganier products. Great unboxing. Tal xo

I finished my parcel subscription on the box before this, I’m glad I didn’t renew, the boxes get you with a few good products and then the same brands or type of products keep popping up constantly.

I no longer subscribe the The Parcel Ageless. Although I did love the Estee Lauder samples and the AHA Liquid Gold I received in various of their boxes I too was becoming overrun with skincare that I was having to give away as I couldn’t see myself getting around to using.

I’ll be trialing a one off bellabox soon so it will be interesting to see how it compares to The Parcel.
