REVIEW: Tangle Teezer Blow-Styling Hair Brush

I was very keen to review the newย Tangle Teezer Blow-Styling Half Paddle Smoothing Tool Wet to Dry Hairbrush* (RRP $39.95)ย when it landed in my mailbox. It is a brush meant for blow drying purposes.

I’m going to keep this review short and sweet, because I’m no hairbrush expert. I like this brush. But, let’s start with the packaging.

It’s nice. Difficult enough to open that no one’s going to mess with it in store, but easy enough that you don’t die of frustration whilst trying to pry open your new treasure.

I do find this brush very easy to remove hair from. It is definitely one of the least dragging hair brushes I’ve used, especially if you detangle using a traditional wet hair Tangle Teezer first. I found this brush very unique. It kind of ‘hooks’ or grabs onto your hair when angled correctly, and allows you the guide the hair as desired for blow drying. But the hooking or grabbing is not painful or harsh. This brush is actually quite amazing and I really like it for blow drying. It would be perfect for blow drying your hair straight.

Real Talk

Now, let’s be real here. I’m no hairdresser. I’m not even a hairdryer or blow-drying fanatic. However, I do enjoy this brush and perceive it to be of innovative design and good quality. Take that as you will.

Would I pay $40 for this? LOL no. UNLESS,ย I was a hair dresser (than I highly recommend!) or a total at home blow dry fanatic.

Great review! I’m always eyeing these detangling brushes (mostly for my daughter) but yeah $40 is not what I want to pay for one!

Woah! Yeah $40 is a bit steep for a hairbrush. But, it does look good, and I do love a good paddle brush. Great review btw!

I like the look of it, but it would have to be a magnificent brush to drag me away from my Tangle Teezer lol.

I really want to try the Tangle Teezer wet hair brush! I have a knock off Tangle Teezer original, but perhaps I should get it.

$40 for a brush is a bit steep, but I guess if you blow dry your hair often, the price is justified. I’ve just seen the larger size & that’s about $45….eeek…still, I’d be curious to try it out seeing as I’m not great at blow-drying my hair straight.

Hey Shell. I don’t really like blow drying my hair straight, but this brush would be great for that ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m an at home blow dry fanatic!! I have the worst hair to deal with and I have to straighten it every time I wash it. I NEED this brush!!

Sounds pretty good Mel – thanks for the review. I’ve spent this much on a brush before (from my hairdresser) although my hair is really short so it might not suit. I need something more rounded so I can create some curves, but I’m quite impressed with this brand xxx
