We all want to know what products are really worth our hard earned dolla, so I decided to bring you my guide of top picks from Sephora AU! These are products that I have tried myself and would buy in future (depending on my income, since some of these are a bit pricey).
Let’s get real, it’s all about the makeup for me.
Nude Stix Lip and Cheek Pencil in Mystic $35 – You’ve heard my rave about this one before and I still love it! Since I prefer more long lasting lipsticks, I only use this as a blush. It is the perfect shade and blends out flawlessly with a beauty blender. I use it when I want a natural, no-fuss and trustworthy blush!
Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Clay Palette $67 – This palette is what dreams are made of, fo’ real. Not the best quality eyeshadows I’ve ever tried, but the shades, the set up, somehow it all just works! For some reason I’m always gravitating towards this palette. With three looks already set out for you, it’s my no-fail eyeshadow palette. The shades blend well enough, the shimmers are pigmented enough (when you use your fingers to apply). I really love this and would highly recommend for beginners.
Beauty Blender Original $30 – not exactly ‘makeup’ but boy has the Beauty Blender changed my makeup game! I’ve had mine for two years (although I hear you’re suppose to replace them every 3 months, whoops!) and it’s only just starting to break (I just put in an order for some new ones).
Studio 10 Plumping Blush Glow-Plexion* $43 – I know what you’re thinking, “I didn’t know Studio 10 did makeup?” But alas, this is not the Studio 10 us Australians are thinking of. Studio 10 is from the UK, and is not affiliated with the Australian Daytime Television show, LOL. This is the perfect no-makeup makeup. Gorgeous natural glow for all skin-tones.
Caolion Hot and Cool Pore Pack Duo* $46 – Golly, this is such a great product! I have oily/combination skin and my biggest concern when applying base makeup is skin texture. This is a two step mask that works wonders at minimising the appearance of my pores and making my skin smooth, perfect for makeup application. You can keep feel the mask working when you use it, it gets very hot on the skin, so I wouldn’t recommend for sensitive skin. Quite frankly, I think this is a bargain at $46.
Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask $38 – This is the best lip treatment I have ever used. If you suffer from flaky, dry lips or are a matte lipstick junkie, this is for you! I use it every single night, like I would a lip balm. The formula is gloopy and sticks to your lips well. The tube has legitimately lasted me years, highly recommend! This lip mask’s only downfall is how darn difficult it is to get the product out of the tube. I usually sit it underneath me in bed, on my electric blanket for a few minutes to warm it up before applying.
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel 125ml $49 – Although I am of the oily/combo skin type, I had a couple dry areas around my nostrils. Most hydrating products when applied there, cause really uncomfortable stinging. Thankfully Clinique make this amazing moisturiser that is sensitive enough for those pesky dry patches around my nose and works really effectively! No most foundation/concealer bunching up around there.
