Pretty things and K-beauty have been in the air lately, so I was delighted to receive some products from the Shu Uemura Play Date 2017 Spring Summer Collection. Though Shu Uemura is not Korean, this gorgeous gives me cute Asian makeup feels.
Eyeshadow Palette – approx. $98
The gorgeous Shu Uemura Play Date eyeshadows are four very pretty shimmer shades. It has two more wearable shades (the earthlier colours) and then two less wearable, but cuter (the pink and purple). I found the quality of the shadows very smooth and pigmented. Note I’m not wearing primer in the photos (mainly because I didn’t have any on me). I also applied the eyeshadow using my fingers and accidentally got some mascara on my eyelid (whoops! #realwomanmakeup).
The packaging of the palette is a very cute pink shade. It feels like a good quality palette, and comes with a superb mirror which is perfect for eye makeup application. It is also a customisable palette, so I can swap out shades in future. You actually by the palette and shadows individually, so you could really make your perfect palette! (See swatches down below)
Drawing Pencil in Sweet Pink $34
I was very surprised to read on the packaging that this pink pencil is an eyeliner. I put the eyeliner on my upper lash line anyway and didn’t hate the result. Not an everyday kind of look for me, but would happily wear it if I was just working as an MUA or attending blogger events. (See swatches down below)
Rouge Unlimited Sheer Shine in Pink Punch $45
The lipstick formula is sheer, and gives me sweet, no-makeup look feels. It has a moisturising and very comfortable formula. Not long lasting when eating or drinking, as expected. Sometime I would want to wear whilst skipping through a field of spring flowers or whilst eating strawberries on a picnic mat with my husband. Definitely feel this lipstick suits the collection theme perfectly. Normally I want to tell sheer formula lipsticks to ‘get lost’ but genuinely liked how this shade looked on me. WEIRD, am I getting old? 😛
